Mary Hawkins, PTA President – My name is Mary Hawkins, I will be the incoming PTA president for 2015/2016. My background is in management in the worker’s compensation field. I attended Rio Hondo College in Whittier. I have been happily married for 17 years and have been a stay at home mom for 14 years now. I have two boys, one who attended Acacia from kindergarten through 6th and now will attend Troy HS, and one who is entering second grade at Acacia. I look forward to another great year at Acacia!
Aileen Villanueva, Membership – I am happily retired (thanks to my loving, supportive husband Pablo!) and a proud mom of 2 Acacia students: Aidan (6th grade) and Kaia (3rd grade). After graduating from CSUF with a major in Psychology, I was offered a position with the OC Dept. of Education as a social work program coordinator. However, my interest and knack for technology and digital graphics led me to a career in Website/Office Administration and AutoCAD Drafting, which I held until I had kids. I enjoy volunteering in school and being directly involved in my kids’ classrooms. Aside from VP-Membership, I am presently the Acacia “Panda Press” Newsletter Editor, a Co-Leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout Brownie Troop and a proud Fullerton Rangers Club Soccer mom. I love our Acacia family and all the people that work hard to make it such an amazing school!
Stephanie Bromley, Room Parent Coordinator – Hi, my name is Stephanie Bromley and I am the Room Parent Coordinator for the 2015-2016 school year. As a former room parent and regular classroom volunteer, I am happy to be involved with all the families and staff that make up this great Acacia community. I have been married since 2003 to my husband Philip, whom I have known since junior high school. We have two kids, Larissa and Drake, here at Acacia. After graduating San Diego State University receiving degrees in Journalism and History; I worked as a newspaper editor, television reporter and producer until I had my kids. Now I am a stay-at-home mom and I work part-time for my husband’s biotech company as a public relations director. I am excited to meet the incoming room parents and to collaborate with them and the other PTA board members to make this a great year.
Lisa Wofford, PTA Financial Secretary – My name is Lisa Wofford, and I was born in Denver, Colorado. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where I attended Georgia State University. After college, I moved to Newport Beach, California, where I met and married my husband, James Wofford. We moved to Fullerton and then had three children. I was fortunate enough to get to stay home with all three kids for 12 years, and just recently returned to work full time. All my children attend Acacia; James is a 6th grader, Nicholas is a 5th grader, and Julianna is a 2nd grader. This is my second year as PTA Financial Secretary and I feel blessed to be a part of the Acacia community. I just love the partnership between the parents and the teachers. I welcome the new principle and look forward to another great year at Acacia.
Danielle Tebbetts, PTA Secretary – My name is Danielle Tebbetts and I have a son entering first grade. I also have a nephew entering 2nd and a niece entering 6th. This will be my second year serving as PTA Secretary and Clipping for Acacia Chair. I am an Acacia Elementary (way back when it was the Acacia Apaches), Ladera Vista and Troy alumnus. My husband and I were lucky enough to purchase my family home allowing us to be part of this wonderful school district. After my husband honorably discharged from the ARMY in 2001, I began working for a Fullerton accounting firm. When we are not working, our family enjoys going to Disneyland. I am excited to continue working with Acacia’s great parent community and staff.
Angela Olivas, PTA Auditor – My family joined the Acacia family in the fall of 2013 and we couldn’t be happier to be part of such a great community of students and parents. Currently we have one student at Acacia, one at Ladera Vista and my husband is a teacher at Fullerton High School. Our whole family is literally in school from August through May every year. This will be my second term as PTA Auditor but 3rd year as a campus volunteer as a room parent. I am looking forward and excited to be on the Fall Festival committee for 2015 and also coordinating Teacher Appreciation Week next spring 2016. I have a background in Customer Service, a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Whittier College and I currently work as the Administrative Assistant on the campus of Whittier College for the departments of English, History and College Writing handling the daily routine of over 22 professors. I love to participate for my children. They will hold on to these memories forever and I’m glad to be a part of it.
Christy Carter, Parliamentarian – Mom of two girls in 4th and 6th grade. This is our 7th year at Acacia. Proud to be a Panda! This year I will serve on the Acacia PTA as the Parliamentarian. In the past I have served as PTA Historian, Secretary and President. I will also serve as a board member of the School Site Council, as well as substitute for our fabulous teachers and noon supervisors. I look forward to assisting our new principal in getting acquainted with Acacia and all that makes us a #1 school!
